A Soft, Scenic Journey

The reason I made the booking of one of the tours from Muscat Wadi Shab and Bimmnah Sinkhole was because of its mention by my fellow workmates. They all said the same thing; it is a long day, but it is worth all the minutes. They were right. We departed early from Muscat, and the instant we were out of the city, the whole landscape had altered. A coastline on one side, mountains on the other. It also allowed the scenic drive to become part of the adventure. On the way to Wadi Shab, our guide assisted us in crossing a narrow water passage by a small boat. From there, the hike began. It consists of a combination of walking between boulders, passing through small streams, and navigating a path created by nature. The scenery of the mountain views was breathtaking throughout the route. The most interesting thing was that the landscape changed continuously. Now it was dry and rocky, and the next moment, long palms and deep turquoise water curved around a bend. The natural pools were just as beautiful as everyone said, clear, cool, and inviting after the hike. I would slow down the pace of swimming in the pools to allow the water to cool me down. Other individuals were daring enough to swim to the cave at the end. You may not get so far, but it will be an experience to remember. The trip we completed was in the Bimmah Sinkhole. It is more profound and broad than it seems in photos. With the light, the color of the water varies between blue and green. There were some of us who were swimming, and some who were lying on the steps, both were as happy as possible. When we returned to Muscat, we felt we had spent an entire day exploring. This tour is also a good option for those who want to have a day trip that combines hiking, swimming, and breathtaking natural scenery.
