Exploring Nature
I became a part of a Wadi Shab and Bimmah sinkhole group full day tour session with some of my friends and a group of strangers who were visiting the country. Group tours are usually a gamble, but this was one of the most entertaining trips I had in Oman. Everything was livelier with the common excitement within the group.
The Muscat adventure drive was ridden with little talk, jokes and all of us wondering what the Wadi would be like. The group's mood made the entire place more adventurous when we arrived. We boarded the fast boat ride and began to hike up the trail, occasionally taking pictures or simply admiring the scenery.
The further we went, the prettier it got. The combination of the high cliffs, green palms, and shining pools in Wadi Shab is breathtaking. When we first came to the first pool, all of us were set to jump. The water was cold, not freezing, but refreshing. It seemed as though I was in a cool spring with rock walls.
Some of us were further out in the water in the direction of the cave, and we got others assisted through the waves and in between the ledges. It was a mini group adventure, with plenty of laughter and a few difficulties.
The group dispersed later at the Bimmah Sinkhole, some swimming and others resting on the edge. The sunlight reflected off the water and each of them had a turn to make the ideal shot.
Coming back, the van was quieter, quiet in that good sense, everybody is tired, relaxed, and satisfied. It was an ultimate experience of nature escape and I came back with some new travel memories and a set of photos which I keep in my heart.
This group tour is not in vain, if you like to meet people and at the same time visit beautiful places.
