What It Really Feels Like to Snorkel With Turtles in Oman

My first plan wasn't waking up before sunrise,  but the overwhelming excitement of the trip forced me to wake up earlier than expected. The sky above Muscat was pale when I arrived at the Marina, and there was a slow buzz around the boats that were waiting to leave. Even before our journey kicked off, the morning had that feeling with a nostalgic experience around the sea.

As we sped across the sea, the coastline slowly faded and we saw the sea open wide in front of us. The air was still and the waves appeared too calm for such a wonderful day. We were enlightened on why this section of the coast is one of the top places for  snorkeling with turtles Oman, each of us in the boat stood still hoping to witness every detail. 

Getting into the waters suddenly changed every aspect in the sea. The water was crystal clear and somehow wasn't looking real. As I floated above the waters, multiple sea creatures appeared creating a better scene all together. I stood still not to scare them. This is the exact reason why people love to snorkel Oman. Every encounter here is unforced and appears natural.

Moments later, a huge turtle came and circled like it was giving us a tour of its home. Each movement was silent and almost deliberate and I found myself  imagining how each and every sea creature made the sea incredible. For a moment, there was nothing except the sunlight, water and a slow rhythm of other creatures. 

Back on the boat, everyone was chatting and revealing their first ever wonderful encounter. The energy was at the bar but everything was peaceful at the same time. A daymaniyat islands tour is not only a nice activity, it is an experience that is unforgettable 

As we completed our journey and returned to the show, all I had in my mind was how fast I would return if I get another chance. Some experience only gives entertainment but this one gives you a real change.
