Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you book a tour with Octopus Oman, online or through WhatsApp, phone or email.

In short

Your booking is confirmed once we receive payment and send you a confirmation.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour starts.
If we cancel because of weather, sea conditions or safety, you can choose another date or a full refund.
Please follow your guide’s safety instructions and tell us about any health conditions before the tour.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every tour booked with Octopus Oman (Marsa 2, Muscat 130, Sultanate of Oman), whether you book on our website or through WhatsApp, phone or email. By making a booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group.

2. Booking and confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and we send you a confirmation by email or WhatsApp.
Please make sure your name, contact details, tour date, number of guests and pickup address are correct. We are not responsible for problems caused by wrong details.
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in Omani Rial (OMR) and are shown per person or per group, as stated on each tour page.
The price includes only what is listed under “What’s included” on the tour page. Anything else, such as personal expenses, is not included.
Online card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Paymob.

4. Cancellation by you

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of your tour. You will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
To cancel or change your date, contact us by WhatsApp or email as early as possible. Date changes depend on availability.

5. Changes or cancellation by us

Your safety comes first. We may change or cancel a tour because of weather, sea conditions, safety concerns, government instructions or other reasons outside our control. Shared tours may also be moved if there are not enough guests to run them.

If we cancel your tour, you can choose another date or a full refund of the amount you paid for that tour. We are not responsible for other costs, such as hotels or flights, linked to the tour.

6. Refunds

Refunds are made to the original payment method. Once we have processed a refund, the time it takes to reach your account depends on your bank or card provider.

7. Pickup and timing

Where hotel pickup is included, pickup is from hotels within Muscat unless the tour page says otherwise.
Please be ready at the agreed pickup time. If you are late or cannot be found, we may have to leave without you, and this counts as a no-show.
Tour times are approximate and may change because of traffic, weather or sea conditions.

8. Health, safety and fitness

Please tell us before your tour about any medical condition, pregnancy, injury or physical limitation that could affect your safety.
For water activities such as snorkeling, diving and swimming, you must be comfortable in the water. Life jackets are available, and our guides will brief you before you start.
Always follow your guide’s instructions. For everyone’s safety, a guide may stop a guest from taking part if they are unwell, under the influence of alcohol, or not following safety instructions. No refund is given in this case.

9. Children

Children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times. Please check the tour page or ask us whether a tour is suitable for your child’s age and swimming ability.

10. Your belongings and our responsibility

Please look after your personal belongings. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal items during a tour. Where the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid for the tour.

11. Photos

Our guides may take photos during the tour and share them with you. We will ask your permission before we use any photo in which you can be recognised on our website or social media.

12. Respect for nature and local culture

We care about Oman’s marine life and environment. Please do not touch, feed or chase turtles, fish or other wildlife, do not stand on coral, and take all rubbish with you. Please respect local customs and dress modestly when visiting towns, villages and religious sites.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
